Dr. Steve Damron from Animal Science brought an idea to ICI in Sept 2010 to award an R on a transcript for undergraduate students who engage in a high level of research. ICI helped Dr. Damron move this creative idea to creative action and today undergraduates who engage in a high level of research can apply for an URS designation (Undergraduate Research Scholar) on their transcript.
